hello folks,

Suppose you have a web page with a meta refresh which pings the server every 5 minutes.

No suppose the internet connection is lost and resumed within this time interval, will the page ping the server as if the connection had been consistent through out or will it ping the server 5 minutes after the connection was resumed ?

HTTP is a stateless protocol.

if the internet connection is lost but resumed before the page refreshed all will be fine. the page will attempt to refresh 5 minutes after the page initially loaded regardless of what happens to the network.
