IExplorer, SSL and POSTed forms

Hi to all,

Sorry if this has been asked before. IE 5.x reports "Page not displayed" on the browser page and "Cannot find server" at the blue title (caption) bar on top of the screen when I am POSTing an SSL-secured form.

The weird thing is that this only happens when I clear IE's cache, temporary files and history. Weirder still is when after the error message is displayed I would click the Refresh button and the page will be loaded correctly (with all the user-inputs)! and from this point on, there is no more error messages .... until I clear the IE's cache, temporary files and history and the problem starts all over again.

This doesn't happen with Netscape and Explorer for Macs. Seems to occur only with Win IE. Also doesn't occur if I disable the SSL-feature of the forms.

Hi GPF,

I am also facing similar problem, IE does not return meaningful error when there is any SSL related errors. It always returns standard "page not found" error.
If you have any solution, please let me know.
