ISS on Networks, php4/mysql

okay, i have this situation now that I cant fix.
I have two computers on a network, the development computer named webworks, the server named webcomp, they see each other, I can share folders and all other network services, except PWS. On the server, if I go http://webcomp/index.php, it works, but on the development computer it doesnt recognize webserver. I'm thinking it's because I'm on a peer-to-peer network, do I have to log into the server onto a domain, or can I share ISS while staying on p2p?

what do you mean it doesn't recognize webserver? have you tried to use the ip address of the webserver?

1) can you ping the web server

2) if you can ping but not connect, are you running a firewall software on the web server?

yes, i had tried the ip, but it didnt work, the ping couldnt find it, but I did fix it, I thought that DNS would not work since I dont have a DHCP server, but I set everything to auto and it worked fine, not when I go //servername it finds the website, thanks anyway
