Error in Authenication

I've installed PHP4.0, mySQL and Apache in Window Me.

When I tried to do authenication with PHP, I recieved a 500 internal server error when I ran the script. I'm quite sure about the correctness of the script.

Anyone knows why?

Do I need to do any setting?

How is PHP installed? As a module? CGI? You must have PHP installed as an Apache module for authentication to work.
