Working in Windows

I develop in Linux. However, some things that I've been working on for my employer (a hardware inventory and service control system) at home I recently brought in to work. At work, I'm on a Windows boxen. 98 to be numerically precise.

Anyways, I've a fucntion that gets a lot of use that falls flat on it's face on the Win boxen. There are two things that don't work in particular. The list / each construct and the && or and operators.

If anyone has any ideas, let me know.

Perhaps you could provide some code snippets here? I've never had any problems with either the list/each contruct or "and" operators on Win32. It's probably something else in your code.

OK, here is the example.

while(list($key, $val)=each($HTTP_POST_VARS)
{
if($val=="" && in_array($key,$required_vars))
{
$exit_stat = 1;
$missing[]=$key;
return 1;
}
if(!$exit_stat)
{
return 0;
}
}

This is a function that I use for checking fields in a form. It's passed as such...

check_fields($required_vars, $HTTP_POST_VARS)

... and heretofore has given me no issue.

I think that you're missing the close bracket on the while statement🙂 This is prolly what's causing the function to fail.

No that wasn't it. I wasn't seeing any parse errors on execution. What you were looking at was a typo.

Here is what it was. The condition checking to see if the $exit_stat was set was inside the while loop. I was looking at it too long. Taking a break away from it was all I needed to do.
