imap_open undefined function???

hi there,

i just wrote a script, that uses the imap_open function, BUT php allways keeps tellin me:

Call to undefined function: imap_open() in...

BUT the same script runs smooth on my linux-system!
...so i thought it might be due to my php version and upgraded to the latest one.
BUT still same error.
Do i have to activate s.th. to make it work, or is it because of my W2k-sys?

Did you read the manual page on IMAP? The very first thing it says is "To get these functions to work, you have to compile PHP with --with-imap."

Any time you encounter an "undefined" error message and you've spelled the function correctly, it is likely that the required library is not compiled into the PHP process you are running.

Sure i did,
but as i said, i have php on a windows system and there its precompiled, so the only thing i can do, is add those .dll files, but when i do add the php_imap.dll, i also get an error like "Zend-end-of-list undefined, couldnt open php4_ts"!
...now thats strange!
