basename function

I'm trying to getting php to output what page I'm on. For example, say I'm on the page
index.php or index.shtml or links.php or page5384.html

So far this is my php:

<body>
Welcome!<br>

<?php
$currentpage=basename(filepath);
print("You are on the page: $currentpage");
?>

</body>

HERE'S WHAT I GET:

Welcome!

Warning: Use of undefined constant filepath - assumed 'filepath' in c:\program files\apache group\apache\htdocs\mytest.php on line 6
You are on the page: filepath

I'm not sure what to replace filepath with

Why not just use $PHP_SELF? It already contains the relative path and filename. If you only want the filename, do something like this:

  $currentpage = substr($PHP_SELF, strrpos($PHP_SELF, "/"));

$currentpage = basename(FILE);

should give you what your looking for. If not, try basename($PHP_SELF) or basename($SCRIPT_NAME)
