logo, button, etc... image creation

Hey everybody,

I am getting into making graphics for my upcoming web site. I tried gimp, but it is way too time consuming for what I am trying to do.

I found program off the web (www.xara.com) and their xara3D gets the job done nicely when it comes to making simple logos, buttons, etc... Do ya'll know of any program like that for *nix box...

gimp :-) A steep learning curve, but if you read some photoshop tutotials you soon get the hang of it.

I guess I'll try to go the hard way - learning gimp... You are right, gimp has a really steep learning curve - it is sort of like C or C++ in relation to graphics programs...
