PHP for windows

I am new to PHP and just getting it setup on my computer. I cannot seem to get my web server to read the PHP files, I just get the "Would you like to download this file file" mesage when I try to veiw the file on the web server. I am running Windows ME with PWS. If any one can help, I would appreciate it greatly.

1st of all, i would suggest u to upgrade to win 2000 professional or XP professional with IIS installed.

2ndly, in win ME, install PHP in C:/PHP folder. Then go to advanced properties of PWS and click cgi-bin and click "Edit Properties" Point the directory to "C:/PHP" & select all 3 options, i.e. Run, Execute etc. Then, test your script.

If you want to run PHP+MYsql_Apache on Windows it's better to downloda PhpTriad from www.PHPGeek.com . It's wonderful.
