Not able to load .php file

hello friends,
I have configured PHP properly with apache. And then i have included
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php .php3 .phtml in my srm.conf file.
I apache is getting loaded properly, but when i load a .php file it give a save as dialogue box. Pls help me in solving this problem

Well, I'm not quite sure. But why do you have to do that in the srm.conf?

Try configuring it all in the httpd.conf. Without ever touching the srm.conf, I still load up PHP files perfectly.

Have a glimps at this tutorial, this is what I used, the very first time I installed apache+php, it worked great from the begining:
