Anti leech script

Can someone help me with a script to stop other websites from leeching the downloads i host for my website users ..

Im useing PHPNuke .. the file = download.php

For example say i have a file link on my download page == http://mysite.com/download.zip

how do is stop Joe Blow @ www.hisite.com from useing my link on his site ?

it would be great if it redirected whoever clicks the link on his site to
www.mysite.com/index.php

Don't link your files directly on your web page. Build a script that will download the file that is passed to it as a parameter.

So your links would be http://mysite.com/download.php?file.zip

Then you put all of your files in a directory above the Document Root (anyplace above where your index.html is). Now your download.php file checks the $HTTP_REFERER to make sure the call came from your pages and if not it runs header("Location: mysite.com/index.html"); if the call is from your page it uses the $file variable to go and get the file and send it to the user.
