stupid problem.

I have a search results page that has a couple animated gifs (blinking 'NEW') next to some of the links that open pop-up windows.

When any link is clicked, and gifs cease to animate.

Is there any way to prevent this?

Blinking animated gifs, huh? Damn, I wish I'd thought of that.... 😉 well, seems sorta obvious: when the pop up window script is activated, run code to do the exact reverse you did to put the gif there in the first place, in other words, update that particular link to not new (possibly a blinking gif saying "OLD"?)... reload the parent window (via javascript and voila.... no more b l i n k i n g g i f .....
