Storing online survey answers

I am creating an online survey for a friend. I have compiled the questions and everything, but I am just concerned about storing the data. There will be approx. 15-20 text answers for the survey, and the survey could be taken by approx. 5,000 people.....So here is my question. What is the best way to store the answers.

I was thinking in a database...but how big will that database grow to?(size in M😎 I was also thinking about a text file, but was concerned with size of that as well. Any ideas and/or suggestions would be helpful.

Long story short -> definitely use database. 5000 people for mysql is nothing.

How to calculate the size. Well, if each field in mysql represents one question, calculate the size of each field, add it all up and multiply it by 5000. If 5000 is max number of people you expect to respond, then
calculation will give you precise maximum number of MB or KB that you'll have to have.
