download php from php.net and follow the instructions. that's very easy. it's different with asp. hell, I spent at least 100 hours installing Apache:Asp
( apache-asp.org ). this is perl asp. if you want to use VBScript ASP or JS asp, then it is not possible on apache (well, actually it is possible if you got 500 $ for the Chilisoft apache asp module or 1000 $ for InstantASP version 2.0 module). If you use windows, set Apache port to 81 and install IIS or PWS on port 80, then let the Microsoft server handle VBScript asp and do everything else on apache
