multiple select list - what the hell??

so I have this select list on a form, people can select more than one option... so then on the page I print out the value that was submitted and only one of them shows up?? whereas it should be a list like 4,5,3

only 3 shows up??

got an answer though thanks but...

<select name=selectName[] multiple>...

isn't that like all wrong compared to every other scripting language an even w3c standards... don't know why the would have done it that..but it saves you having to turn it in to an array on the other end, so it's cool.
