Apache - how do you set serveraliases?

ive got this:

<VirtualHost >
ServerAdmin [e-mail]
DocumentRoot "C:/Program Files/apps/development/web/Apache/Apache/htdocs/ezboard/"
ServerName ezboard
ServerAlias .localhost
</VirtualHost>

i want however, subdomain1.localhost and subdomain2.localhost (infact every subdomain used) to point to one DocumentRoot, is this possible/am i goiug about this the wrong way? i know this might be in the wrong place (and im sorry :-)) but it's very important in getting my ezboard-type forums system working (PHP)
