PHP run as a different user

I am running PHP on Apache on Solaris, and I am encountering errors with file permissions. I think that a viable solution may be to change the user that PHP/Apache runs as from "nobody" to another account. Does anyone know a way to do this, I would prefer to change only the user that PHP runs as but I guess changing the user that Apache runs as would also be OK as long as there are no security threats. Don't do that, it'll create intense security issues. Why don't you ask a question specific to the problem you are having with file permissions instead ?

just change ownership of files that apache uses to nobody... and then set permissions to 400 or 600.
