PHP running on Windows

Is it possible for PHP to run in Windoze with no Web servers being involved? I want to be able to call PHP scripts from a stand-alone Flash application. The PHP script would be doing string manipulation and saving the results to text files.

You can call PHP itself from the command line, to prevent its normal HTTP headers from being sent you have to use the -q for "quiet mode"

php -q file.php
