mail() does not work

I going to ask this question in hopes that someone out there can help.

OK here it goes, my administrator for my site has disabled the mail() function in our php scripts I made a script in perl that uses socketing, but I need it in PHP so is there a way to use socketing to send mail in PHP?

Not sure about socketing, but PHP does do some dandy stuff with IMAP🙂 Is the IMAP extension loaded into your server? If so, take a look at the Mail classes in PEAR.
