Backslashes not showing

Hi I have PHPNuke and im trying to some guides which need to show paths to registry keys and directories

ie. windows\system32\

which needs \ backslashes , instead the PHP seems to remove them , is there any way to get these to show ?

or an alternative method

well, first of all, you CAN use forward slashes '/' on windows.

if you need to use a backslash '\', you must escape it. ie, '\'

C:\system32\....\...
