I'm completely at a loss, help please...

Hi,

I had everything working on my machine running W2K, IIS5, PHP, Ultradev, MySQL and PHakt, but my machine crashed and I had to reinstall everything.

This is what works:
I can see the phpinfo page.
I can connect to MySQL database.
I can be in UD and do a test connection to the DB and even see the data from a table.

BUT, when trying to run a php page in the browser that accesses the database, I GET THIS ERROR:

Warning: MS SQL: Unable to connect to server: localhost in G:\websiteroot\celero\adodb\adodb-mssql.inc.php on line 139

And of course, no data comes up on the page.

I HAVE RACKED my brain looking over the settings, configurations, and reinstalling stuff....

BUT I CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT
PLEASE help me figure it out.

It might just be a typo but I noticed that the error message talked about MS SQL and the offending file talks about MS SQL, but your intent appears to be to use MySQL.

whew!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally solved it...
after about 4-5 hours of staring,reading, trying,staring, reading, posting, reading,searching....

the problem was on the select of the database in PHakt.
I selected MSSQL
instead of MySQL.

Can you believe that little "y" cost me that many hours?
