How to combine many Mpegs into one Mpeg?

In the past, I have been able to combine multipul part Mpegs (The Vidio type) into one by just "cat-ing" the file together in linux. Add one file right onto the end of another, and it worked. I do not know if something that is normally able to be done or not.

You will need a special utility, search an Mpeg website instead of a PHP forum.

You sure you need a utility, vincent? I've never had any trouble just concatenating MPEGS.

There are so many mpeg-concatenating-utilities out there that I doubt a simple CAT would do the trick every time.

But I really don't care much about concatenating mpegs anyway...

Actually vincent cat has worked everytime I have used it on mpegs and I use it quite a bit.
