i want to create a messenger of my own like that of MSN, yahoo, etc. can u give me some basic requirements for that.

actually i don't know where to start and using which language/software/tools one can develop that.

please help.

Vishwa, this is similart to stating that you want to build an organic computer but admitting you know nothing about how computers work, organic chemistry or the theory behind interactivity between the two.

Get into programming a bit before you decide suddenly to undertake such a project.
