meta tags with include()

my entire site uses a header include() for all the pages, where the header contain generic coding like <head> ... </head>.

my problem is with the META TAGS, especially for "keywords". should i just enter the key words in the header include, or put them in all the pages for optimal search engine coverage?

Yah google likes it if the words in your keyword tags are said in the page some where else.

you could have a var that u set in each page that would carry them over.

In the file thats including the file put..
$metakey = 'Bla, blah, blaah, ba, blaa';

Like on the header file put
<META NAME="KEYWORDS" CONTENT="<? echo $metakey; ?>

I do a similar thing to Jordan at my site http://www.pcpropertymanager.com only I use templates. My meta tags always start with a few standard key words but I then add other words (through the template) which are relevant to the page.

Search Engines, apparantly, don\'t like you to use the same meta tags on every page.

It makes alot of sense to try and keep the headers in a single file. I\'ve found it much easier to manage.

You know on ur site, if u linked directories with the trailing slash it would save time.
ex:
This would have to be loaded twice cuz it has to forward to the full path.
Http://blah.com/somedir

This would save a little time loading and less work/logging for apache.
Http://blah.com/somedir/

these are virtual directories using the 404 script to generate the correct content. Should I still have the extra /?
