php and javascript

hi all,

i have a form with a submit button.
i would like to have a confirm pop up to warn the user.
if the user press ok, the form calls a php page.
otherwise the confirm pop up closes and nothing happens.

i read about the confirm function in javascript and onSubmit but could not make it work.

could someone help me?
