includes using PHP on IIS

Hi,
Trying to build a PHP app on an IIS box. When I try to do an include, using the following statement:

include ("http://myserver/myvirtualdir/calendar/calendar_insert.php");

I get the following error:

Warning: Failed opening 'http://myserver/myvirtualdir/calendar/calendar_insert.php' for inclusion (include_path='')

I set the include_path in the php.ini file to reflect the proper path and tried it that way but had no luck. I can remove the virtual path but am unable to pass variables, as I normally can with a Unix box. I even tried the IP to make it work but had absolutely no luck. Any thoughts or am I screwed. Any thoughts/ideas/HELP! is appreciated! Thanx!

A lot of people (especially vincent) will say that I am talking out of my rear end here but ensure that you have a dir in C: named tmp (i had the same problem and this solved it).

And before I get any smug sarcastic relpies from people (vincent) I don't mean to put your include files in this dir, just have it present so that php knows its there.

Then call the include file using relative paths.

Thanks for the help. Is there a way to write in the absolute path? I'd like to pass a variable with my include, like this:

include ("http://myserver/myvirtualdir/calendar/calendar_insert.php?month=01&year=2002");

but can't get that to work out, like I can on a 'Nix box. Thanks again!

According to the php manual what youre doing should work.

I dont understand why its not.

Did adding the tmp directory work??

Adding the tmp directory left me exactly where I was. I don't understand why it doesn't work on IIS either and would really like to find a way around it.

You might try adding the www. to the url. I have heard on iis you need this where on how did you put it .. 'nix boxes you don't ..
