Win2000 - email

I had my php working on unix then they changed to win2000. Of course all my mail() functions don't work. I realize I need a mail server setup but what ? and how.

I had Imail but I am not sure with configuration.

Could someone suggest a simple way I can get my mail() functions to work again?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

you must define an existing smtp server in your php.ini

We had imail on the server and I put in the same TCP/IP address in the php.ini file.??

I don't know if there is an easy solution. Here is my advice though. You may not like it, but I am absolutely sincere: get another Web host provider.

Web hosting in Windows servers is crap. I am not one of those annoying Linux fans lurking on every chance to badmouth MS. I still think Windows beats *nix in the desktop environment hands down. I have both in my machine and I spend 95% of the time in Windows. But Windows servers are just not good enough for the job. Not even MS run Windows in their servers. MS's site runs entirely on Unix.

Get yourself another Linux/Unix host provider and forget about these and other possible problems.
