Keeping Last Digit in a Double

Hello, i am using php4 to display money values. My problem is, is that php is dropping my last digit when its a zero. For example i would like to display 4.50 and php keeps making it 4.5 and i absolutley need it to be 4.50. I have tried casting and settype as a double, but it keeps dropping the last digit if its a zero. Is this possible with php, if so how. Any help would be greatley appreciated.

Look at the printf() function. It will allow you to set the format of the printed value.

echo sprintf("$%2.2f", "$Variable")?>
