PHP Crashing on session_start()

I have PHP installed locally on my Win98 box, I used the PHPTriad software that installs PHP/mySQL/and Apache. We have the same installation on another Win98 box and sessions work just fine, but on mine it either throws up some error about the \tmp directory or just crashes PHP with an invalid page fault or some other type of error..

Anyone have an idea why the install and sessions would work on one Win98 box but not another?

If the same script works one one install, but not another, you might want to consult the company that made PHPTriad, as it may be a software issue.

If you installed the same software on two different machines, then your machines are the only variables. If one works, and the other doesn't, I'd suspect there's something wrong with your second machine (could be some other software installation that's causing a conflict).
