Here is the path:
- Visit www.php.net, download and install PHP and download the CHM format manual;
- visit www.mysql.com, download and install mySQL and download the Windows Help format manual.
- visit www.apache.org, download and install Apache OR
- visit www.xitami.com, download and install Xitami and the single-file HTML documentation; you'll need either Apache or Xitami to run the scripts.
Reserve a lot of time for reading, scripting and error-proofing. And hang around the forums, you can learn a lot from them. This is the hard way, and the hard way usually works. I knew nothing about programming until a few months ago and now I have a site that is completely built on PHP. Go for it!
