File or DB

I want to keep track of how many times a page has been viewed so what do you think would be a better option. Opening a file (dif for every page) everytime and adding one or using a database to do the same thing?

files are fine for most things like that. It really depends on how busy your page gets ( at its peak traffic ). DB's will effectively handle much more data, and should be used if your page receives massive traffic volume in its peak times.

A file will effectively work well in this case.
