Hello !
I am using php not compiled as CGI with oracle 8i now i want to send auto generated mails to users on thier expiry date which is stored in DB .So suggest me some thing appliable

Look up CRON or CRONTAB on internet and on your system. You can use CRON to do any automated task, such as emailing, rebooting the server, routine data downloads, scheduled task etc.

I've seen CRON on this forum a few times already as well, so search here first.

Well I know about crontab but they need cgi compiled php and i dont have cgi compiled php i also saw the soloution of calling php from a perl script but only in words as i have no knowledge of perl so if any body have a clue of perl scriptcllinh php file from http do help me thanx

try to use lynx(a text-base web browser) to call your php script.
