Different Imagefile-sizes

Hi,

I was just wondering why php creates a different filesize if I use "ImageJPEG ($image);" to display the image rather than calling directly like ".../image.jpg"

How comes that mostly the file is larger but sometimes smaller but always without the loss of any visible detail?

Anyone? 🙂

GDLib probably has different compressions settings that whatever program you used to create the original jpg.
