Thumbnails with PHP

Ok, the thumbnails arn't the problem, but if their done most of them have a white border on bottom and/or on the left side...
I don't know why, I tried not using the whole sourceimage for the thumbnail (took 5px from every edge) but still those borders exist.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Hi.
I don't know with what method from gd you make the new image.
Personaly I use the image_copy_resized() method.This fill the smaller image corectly.
I have no such borders.
