store session at server site

Hi,

I am think a way not to use setcookie() to store teh cookie at client site. Because some of the user pc dont' manage/create the cookie properly.

So, I think of useing the session.use_trans_sid. But it seem like doesn't, even I recompile my php4.0.6 support use_trans_sid. May I know what's the problem?

Now my SID value is append on all the url on my page, and I wonder the correct method to create the session, should i use setcookie() or session_register()?
