Books in a site

I try to build a site containing books. Some books are 300+ pages. How to manipulate this issue?. Do I have to use database or another way? Would you please explain in details.

Well, I guess that the best solution would be, writing the entire book into an html file using php or manually, and using a MySQL database, for the info e.g title, author, description...

I think the best is to type and store every page in a database field, with appropriate html tags, like <b> and <h1> and so on. Take a field in database like the_page. Each page goes here and then you can call it. This makes text search easiest.
