Send mail from Local server???

Hi Masters !!

I have made a setup of PHP/Apache/MySql on my windows 98 environment Through PHP Triad. Everything is working fine since 1 years.

So now what I want to know is--

Can I send mails using mail() function through my local server?? If yes then How, If 'no' then why ??

I think you'll need to setup either your own email-server, or use an existing (e.g. through your ISP).

yeah i can use my ISP mail server .. but dose'nt it need any configuration changes in PHP.ini or somewhere else ??

look for the [mail function]in your php.ini file.

i edited mine as follows

[mail function]
SMTP= smtp.myisp.com ; for Win32 only
sendmail_from= [e-mail] ; for Win32 only
