QaDRAM Studio enables Rapid Application Development for Web applications

ELCHE, Spain - February 6, 2002 - QaDRAM Software today announced the first pre-release of QaDRAM Studio 1 for Rapid Web Application Development. QaDRAM Studio enables web developers to build and debug web applications using their server scripting language of choice. The current pre-release only supports PHP, but ASP, Perl, JSP and other languages are also planned. QaDRAM Studio incorporates an unique plug-in technology to enable third-party developers to add support for any scripting language.

QaDRAM Studio is free for both personal and commercial use, it is not Open Source, but several parts will be released under an OpenSource license, for example the QCL (QaDRAM Component Library) and the plug-in SDK that allow third-parties to add support for another scripting languages.
QaDRAM Studio is a Windows program, but a Linux version is planned after the final release, so QaDRAM Studio will become the most powerful web application development platform.

-Cross-Platform application: QaDRAM Studio makes easy to create web applications that runs on any browser and any server; you are always notified if you are creating code that won't run on all the platforms. You will also get warnings to inform about possible incompatibilities.
-Database abstraction: You will get access to databases using Data Access components on the Palette, so you don't have to worry about connection strings, or create database abstraction libraries.
-Third-party Component Vendors: The IDE is able to use components from third-party vendors, so you can add to your program a lot of functionality in a breeze.
-Object TreeView: Save time searching for specific components on a designer and assess containership at a glance using the hierarchical Object TreeView.
-Advanced Project Manager: Identify and activate projects faster with the Project Selector. Use the Project Manager’s multiproject support for easy generation of several webs.
-Object Inspector: To view and modify your components properties. You can also arrange the properties using categories and you can get a short description about a property without using the on-line help.
-Datamodules: Put all your business rules together on a datamodule and reuse it along your project.
-Customize your desktop: Control your development environment with customizable desktop settings. You can control which tool window you want opened and its exact placement on your development desktop. Create as many desktop layouts as you need to customize your environment for different situations or projects. QaDRAM Studio even keeps track of your preferred debug desktop and automatically sets your desktop whenever you begin debugging.
-Code Explorer: You can view the structure of your code and jump to any location. This tool can represent HTML+JavaScript+Server code together in the same view.
-Code templates: QaDRAM studio provides standard code templates for common statements so that programmatic syntax is always correct. In the editor, simply start a code statement and the IDE will complete it for you, thereby reducing errors and letting you to develop faster. QaDRAM Studio also allows the developer to add code templates so that the development environment is customized to your own corporate standards.
