I understand the differnce in them but what I want to is conditionally load sections of code.

I use a lot of DIV tags for a dynamic web site so I store related groups of DIV tags in .php files some may not be used until after the user has been on the web page for a few minutes or he may go to them right away. I would like to load some DIV tags when a user moves over a given link. I do not think this is possible but can someone verify this for me

So you want to know wether you should use include or require, to load data after the page has been rendered? After the PHP script has finished?

Internet Explorer supports redirection tags that can be timed. You can do something like:

• print redirect header, wait 2 minutes. Redirect points to the page with your DIVs.
• if user clicks a link before that, he is sent to another page
• if user doesn't click anything in two minutes, the browser is redirected to wherever you want.

Now, loading a page with mouse over requires Javascript. I've seen it done, but I don't how. I don't know Javascript.

page loading with mouseover is possible, but you should only do that if you are bent on making sure all your visitors leave your site and start spray-painting rude words on your house. They'd have to navigate their mouse over your page carefully avoiding any links because every time their mouse moves over a link, the browser starts loading a new page... ieeew!

LOL, Vincent! Hear hear!

However, when I said I had seen it, it was not that annoying. It was made with frames, and mousing over the links made the whole target page be loaded instantly. They were not image roll-overs, the target frame was actually made of pages. The only annoying thing is that all possible target pages had to be pre-loaded. But it was a nice effect.
