PHP News Script

Hello,

Sorry if this is the wrong place to be posting this Topic. I am working on a website which will be run by a lot of News, im am not the best with PHP, basically just learning.

I need a news script to run on the site where i submit news from a Form, so it will then build a breif story on the index page and then link it to the full page story with Photo etc.. I also need it to archive all the old stories for me.

I need some help finding a good and easy script to do this that can be modifyied, i would also be greatful for anyone who could help install and mod it for me.

if you got to hotscripts.com or some place like that, you might be able to find a script, but I recommend you just make your own, it's not that difficult, some just learning php might be able to pull it off. All you need to do is familiarize yourself with INSERT, UPDATE, SELECT and DElete funtions in mysql, and how to retrieve fields from mysql tables by usign mysql_query() in php. I have a scripts like what you want at www.cafe-house.com that I could check out, or if you want (although I dont recommend, you could check out php-nuke if you need something fast, they're news system is just like you described, actually, most news systems are like that. q
