Just looking for advice from those experienced freelance php/mysql programmers

What do you think is a good standard flat/hourly rate for installation of script, and freelance web development?

Nothing scientific is expected, I know it can vary, I just want to grasp a good estimate to charge for such services

For my first contract job, I just got $2,000 for a semi-complex but not very large tracking/manipulation system for an eviction service... basically it tracks evictions, bad tenants, property owners, and rental listings.

Pricing depends on your exact location.

Prices that are normal in my country may be rediculous in your country. I suggest you contact some local 'professionals', large companies, and see what they would charge.

One important thing to remember is that no sane company will hire you to do a pre-defined project on an hourly rate, they'll want a flat fee for the entire project.

If you agree an hourly price and you find out you need more time, they'll get nasty. Make good agreements about this before you start!
