I posted this message last night but I guess it disappeared. 🙂 I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get started being able to log in a user with a username and password. I know how to get the user actually logged in but I'm not sure how to keep them logged in throughout the site. Do I have to use cookies? I've read about session_start() but isn't that only for php4? I've read different things so I wanted some other people's input.
