validating email on host

Hi all
can any one help me

how to validate email id not the syntax
but is email id really exist on host

e.g [e-mail]
how do i know that

someone has account on domain
useing PHP

I don't think that's possible because so many different email providers use different email progs. Just send an email to them with a link back to your site to confirm their signup.
