I know this has been asked and answered before in this forum, but I ask it again as with time more experience are available.

I am looking for a good hosting provider with PHP/MySQL access. I won't be getting massive hits so bandwidth is not THAT important. Anything in the range of 12-18$ will be good. I am currently consider the following providers:

http://www.rockhosting.com/ -Gold Plan
http://www.addr.com/ -Gold Plan
http://www.cqhost.com/ -Business Plan
http://www.phpwebhosting.com

Any positive/negative comment about them will be appreciated. phpwebhosting does seem to provide addtional advantages like cron jobs. I would also like to point additional domain to my subdirectories but would like them be just like the master domain (no frame or url forwarding). Do you guys have any suggestion?

Thanks

go to www.multimania.lycos.fr , the best always will be kikin it take a look will impress its french but you get the hang of it , take a look

I've used phpwebhosting for about 8 months and find it great.

      $9.95 a month for php,mysql, mailboxes, domainbinding ... can't beat the price!

      ed

I too have beenusing phpwebhosting for 8 months and I agree with Ed. It's a good service that I haven't found a fault with yet.

          php/gd mysql
          everything

I am considering going there myself and I maintain one linux box from an old employer and get free hosting...I mean, the deal is great:
          http://www.ciwebhosting.com/unixinfo.html

And there is a $10/month version of that
with 50 mb space that has it all too
          http://www.ciwebhosting.com/unixexpinfo.html

Maybe that can help, it's great they tie in gd with php some hosts don't do this I would bet.

I am sure with the options provided you will be in good hands.

I really hope they are good, cause I was using primemaster.net (similar pricing) and their service sucks and I kind of lost faith on <10$ hosting.

              I use:

              Phenominet.com

They host weberdev.com and they are a pretty good company to work with.

              Ron

I use below10host.com. All of their plans are under $10 and you can even design your own plan. I haven't had any problems with them and they have very good service.

Addr.com, on the other hand, was a different story. I signed up with them about a year ago and felt that they had terrible customer service. An inquiry would take about a week for them to respond!

I asked addr if they would allow me to point additional domains to my subdirs. They replied:

"At this time, we do not allow for multiple domain names to point to sub-directories of the same website. You would need to set up separate accounts for each of these domains. We do, however, allow for domain pointing for an additional $5 per month per domain to point multiple domain names to the same web page. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you!"

I have o pay 5$ a month just to point additional domains to my master domain? Isn't that stupid. Most hosting providers provide that free nowadays.
