Jason,
Perhaps, due to the circumstances surrounding our introduction, you got the wrong impression of why I'm here. I don't come here, or keep coming back because I need to boost my ego and scoff at beginners or because I like to chew people out for blatantly violating basic forum protocol. I come here because I appreciated the people who helped me when I was first learning PHP, and wanted to "give back" to the PHP community. However, I have spent more time and effort on ignorant bozos than I should have to, and don't really feel like continuing in these efforts.
While I could spend the time and effort needed to setting up my own forum and moderating it personally, I really don't feel the need or desire. Especially when such a forum would merely compete with Vincent's YAPF which is moderated and uses a better forum script than this (authored by the great Vincent himself). Since a forum that approximates what I would attempt to create already exists, there is no need for me to flood the "market" with cheap knockoffs.
Furthermore, you imply that because I don't like the thoughtless actions of some of those who post to this board, the obvious and perhaps only logical recourse is to establish and moderate my own forum. However, I have merely decided to ignore such posts and concentrate my efforts in areas that they will be hopefully more usefull, such as at YAPF and, to a continually shrinking extent the meaningful questions here.
