Good website hosting

Hi,

Does anyone know of a good host that provides php and mysql (preferably a couple DBs). I am also looking for the ability to host 2-3 domain names on the account (with their own IPs). Subdomains would be nice (something.workedhard.com). Telnet, email (at least 10 email accounts ideally), web panel interface. Most importantly, I am looking for advice from people that have been with a company for a while, and that knows the company has good tech support (i.e. they call back, or actually do look into the problem when they say they will).

I swear by www.webstrikesolutions.com. This is a value added host. First year free (only 50US$ setup fee.

php and mysql supported, unlimited number of email accounts, sub-domains. NO telnet! Their downtime is very reasonable and they just moved to a new data centre for even more reliability.

The most important part is their excellent service. They always look into any problem I have had and respond fast. Check what their clients have to say about their service on their support boards.

I have used www.supanames.co.uk for nearly two years, and their downtime has been almost zero. They offer 35mb of space, Unlimited POP3 email accounts, Unlimited Autoresponders, Unlimited Forwarders, Unlimited Password Protection, FREE FrontPage Extensions, FREE graphical statistics, FREE pre-installed CGI scripts, Unrestricted bandwidth, Advanced online control panel, CGI, PHP4, MySQL & WAP. They do not offer telnet support, but for the price (about £50 for two years inc. domain registration) it's a pretty good deal

I was impressed by the performance of your suggested host from this side of the world. I am just looking for a development learning space. Is support also included in the $50.00 and free first year? Are there any other charges?

no extra charges. After the first year I pay something like 90US$ year.

The only 'snag' I so far found is that disk space is limited to 50mb. above that you pay 5 US$ per month for an additional 50mb.

They have the phpMyAdmin interface installed for MySQL and, once more, it will not be easy to find a host that beats the direct support they deliver. And this support is also for the first year.

For example, last week I had problems with a library on their Linux server I use to resize images online. In about 10 hours we had been in contact about 20 times per email and the problem was solved.
