driving distance (miles and time)

Does anyone know where I could get a library file, database, or anything that I could use to calculte milage and time between two addresses.

I know that mapquest has business applications where they can integrate their services into a web site and do such a thing, but I was looking for a cheap way to do it or even free. ha!

anyways.. if anyone has any relative info or has working with mapquest or another map service before, please pass on the info. Thanks.

and what makes you think that you can get this data for free, and how are you planning to get an algorithm that works out the distance and time?

in short: fork some cash and get a paid service.

Hi!

What you can do is go to planetsourcecode.com and try to find a script for this purpose. Usually it's not very difficult to work out the mileage between two points given their exact nautical locations (where can you get those?). The mileage will of course be a straight bee line without any regard to existing roads in the vicinity.
Of course, it is impossible to calculate mileage and time by roads without complex algorithms and access to vector maps, and this is only possible with paid services.
