Fax through net

i want to take some input from user and those inputs are to be send to a fax number. is it possible in php to send fax, if so then oplz tell me how consider me as new bie

although i really don't know, i doubt you can... then again PHP can be used to run programs on the server and send information to them so they can send the fax? heh

would be interested to know if anyone has done this? even though i wouldnt use it, still interseting =P

I'm sure it's possible, but would require your own dedicated phone line to faxes (maybe mroe than one) plus long distance charges. Here's an alternative:

Try out some of these services. I've never tried one myself, but if their advertising is true, you could just use php's mail function to send the fax.
