i need the help of someone very experienced in php. heres why.

to start off, im the leader of a gaming community online. I am setting up a tournament script that will hopefully be used by up to several hundred people playing tournaments and the such online.

i know some php as well as other web building codes but im lacking in the php department. rather than come back to this site every 5 minutes with a new question i was wondering if i could enlist the help of someone experienced to build this for me.

initially im planning on whoever helps to work for free just answering questions and helping me build the php portion but if you are very helpful and i take up a lot of your time i might reason with this being a paid position. i dont have much money so it wont be a lot so i am basically asking for someone to help out of the goodness of their heart.

i have aleady contrusted the bones of the project (html) and it can be found at http://www.visualx.net/as by clicking on tournaments to the left. if you go there and see it is something you can handle and would like to help me please let me know.

yea basically, i know the jist of what i need to do it just that i havnt used php much in my pages so i still run into small errors i dont know how to fix.

basically i need to build a database with a bunch of information and pull the needed parts out in areas.

is it possible to create 2 databases?

Yes it is possible to make as many databases as you wish - HOWEVER it is important to note that some web hosting companies limit you to one or maybe even two databases. This presents a problem, not a big problem, but yet a problem indeed.

If you are limited to one database, you will be stuck with that one database and a hell of alot of tables with that one database. This in itself is not a problem, BUT it is hard to keep track of about 70-80 tables. It is much easier to have several databases, like one for Profiles, another for Tournament Schedules and another for Feedback. It helps you organize, because each database may have 10 tables in it, but if you are limited to one, you will have 1 database with 30 tables in it- it just helps to organize things a bit better.

Check with your service provider to see what they allow and if there is an extra cost involved with it.
