Would it make more sence to have multiple php files for each page on my site, or have one php file, which uses a variable (eg. url/index.php?page=downloads) to load an include file, therefore, really only having one php file?

I think that would be more efficient, but i need to know if its a bad idea.

Includes are nice. Quick and efficent. They get the job done. I think it would be a wise idea to move to includes. Why keep coding the same stuff over and over? Lata!

Not that i wouldnt use includes, just that I was wondering about using a variable to determine the contents of the page. I will give it a shot.

I would use a variable to determine what include file to use. =) This is how some sites manage their branding. I.E. usertype == $onecompany include this template file
